G'day!

I’m Ben Kirby. ​ A senior creative, from Australia, living in Tokyo. I currently serve as a designer at Japanese ecommerce tech giant Rakuten.

 

Over the past 10 years, prior to Rakuten I've had the privilege of working at National Geographic, FOX, Warner Bros. and the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corporation).

My expertise is in art direction, multidisciplinary design, along with specialised skills in illustration and animation. Currently working globally, Throughout my career I’ve

had experience with audiences in Australia,

New Zealand, Japan & Spain. ​

 

I believe in bold design experiences, team building, mentoring, and cultivating learning and creativity. My passion is to closely unify the design process with other industry fields, and to help my team members achieve their full potential though my experience.​

 

Outside of work you’ll find me, illustrating, listening to 80’s music, and studying my Japanese. ​
